Leading in terms of quality management
It’s Borgarplast's policy to be a leading company in terms of quality management, positive profile and service.

IST EN ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System
In 1993 Borgarplast-Seltjarnarnes became the first Icelandic owned industrial manufacturing company and the second rotational moulding company in the world to receive this certification.
ISO 9001:2000 specifies requirements for a quality management system where an organization aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable regulatory requirements.
In 1994 Borgarplast-Borgarnes became the second company outside the capital area of Iceland to be certificated to this standard, the first one being The Icelandic Smelter Company.

Borgarplast's Quality Policy:
The company assumes a leading position for its products relating to quality, profile and services. To achieve this goal the company aims to:

• manufacture and sell high-quality, reliable products,
• manufacture products that are technically sound, well designed, and serve customer's needs,
• maintain the company's good reputation,
• fulfil the requirements of the international quality standard, ISO 19001, and promote quality issues in general,
• adhere to appropriate laws, regulations and other instructions issued by official authorities,
• keep improving the company’s products, working processes and quality systems.
